Your own domain

From yourbusiness.ablesync.com.au to yourbusiness.com.au

You start on your AbleSync address the day you sign up. Whenever you’re ready, connect the domain you already own from Settings → Your domain, so your home page and staff app carry your name, not ours.

    Check you own your domain

    Your domain is registered through a domain registrar, such as VentraIP, Crazy Domains, GoDaddy or Netregistry. Not sure who yours is with? Look it up on auDA’s WHOIS search.

    Open your DNS settings

    Log in where your domain’s DNS is managed. That’s usually your registrar, but it can be your current website host or Cloudflare.

    Add one record

    Add a CNAME record pointing to sites.ablesync.com.au, named app if you’re keeping your current website, or www if AbleSync runs your website too. AbleSync shows you exactly what to enter, with step-by-step clicks for Crazy Domains, VentraIP, GoDaddy, Webcentral (Netregistry), Namecheap, Cloudflare and cPanel. Don’t change your MX records, because they keep your email working.

    We check it and secure it

    AbleSync checks the record and sets up a free security certificate (https) automatically, then emails you when it’s live. DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours to reach everyone.

Will my email still work?
Yes. Your email stays with your current provider, such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, as long as your MX records aren’t changed.
Do I need to move my domain?
No. It stays with your registrar, in your business’s name, and you keep paying for it there.
What about yourbusiness.com.au without “www”?
Turn on domain forwarding where you bought your domain, from yourbusiness.com.au to https://www.yourbusiness.com.au. Most registrars offer it in their domain settings.
I already have a website. Can I keep it?
Yes. Choose Keep my website when you connect, and your app goes on app.yourbusiness.com.au while your website stays exactly where it is. Add a Staff login button to your website that links to your app. If you’d rather AbleSync runs your website too, it goes on www instead.
What about the app on my team’s phones?
The next time they open it, they’ll see a prompt to move to your new address, and they stay signed in. They add it to their home screen once more.
Does my AbleSync address stop working?
No. It keeps working, so links you’ve already shared won’t break.
